Well this past week I hit 11 months and this week is my birthday but to be honest, it just feels like another week as a missionary. Of course we're going to party it up on Wednesday though!! The Christensen family found out that it was my birthday and invited us over for dinner and she is going to make steak and baked potatoes and salad and Texas sheet cake, probably the same exact thing I would be having back home. I'm way excited!! I love them so much. But other than that its just another day as a missionary. This past week has been fun. We had interviews with President on Thursday which are always awesome!! During interviews the ZL's got a phone call from this guy who is not a member but his wife is. He left a message on their phone saying that he needed a favor and wanted the missionaries to be at his house between 1-3. It was kind of a creepy message. They had to go to another District Meeting with President so they asked us to go over there for them. We went over there and this guy was crazy!! He was way drunk and way hilarious. The favor that he wanted was the Jehovah's Witnesses had been coming by and he thinks they're crazy so he wanted us to be there when they came over on Friday so he could nicely tell them to get lost. So when we went back on Friday he realized that the appointment he had set was for the following Friday. So we'll see what happens. We're going to be having a baptism on the 7th of February. We started teaching 3 girls who are members of LA families. One of them is super excited about it and the other two are but just not
motivated enough to read and pray so we're for sure baptizing Shaylee but I don't know if we'll be baptizing Raylinn and Alyssa. They'll get baptized eventually but since the transfer ends on the 8th I don't think I'll be here to see it. So the work is progressing here in Roswell and throughout our mission we are on our way to doubling the baptisms. Tomorrow I'm going to Ruidoso to do a baptismal interview for Elder Spencer and Elder Kirn. Usually the DL will do the interview but since its the DL's investigator he can't interview his own investigators and the ZL's don't speak Spanish so President asked me at interviews if I could do the interview. I'm so excited, a little bit nervous but excited!! Well I love y'all and hope everyone has a great week. The church is true. Don't party too hard on Wednesday without me.
